APPLE: Adam and Eve were frail human beings just like us, but we don’t have to let our mistakes define us. At times we feel pulled in opposing directions; virtue and vice. But that does not mean that we should give up or be afraid.
…Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are mine (Isa 43:1)
VIRTUE: Despite our flaws and insecurities we are all called to greatness. We are loved for who we are. The T in virtue is a visual reminder of the cross of Christ and His love for us. Growing in virtue means growing more like Him. The more we exercise virtue the stronger we become!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13)
OLIVE BRANCH: The Olive branch is a symbol of new life and new beginnings. It is never too late to make changes for the better and become all we were made to be. Choosing to lead a virtuous life is really a striving for victory over sin and vice. In doing so, one day we will be able to proclaim with Paul:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith!” (2 Timothy 4:6-7)
